JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Molina's Behavioral Health function provides leadership and guidance for utilization management and case management programs for mental health and chemical dependency services and assists with implementing integrated Behavioral Health care management programs.

This position will support our Molina One Care Services business in Massachusetts. We are looking for a Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) with knowledge on peer support services within the Molina One Care Service Area. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to support our diverse communities!

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST

Remote position with 25% field travel in Bristol, Essex, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, Worcester

Certification required

JOB DUTIES

• Provides peer support services for members with behavioral health issues, psychiatric disorders, drug and/or alcohol dependence, and physical illnesses.
• Serves as a consumer advocate by providing consumer information, resources, and peer support for clients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assists members in setting and pursuing their own recovery goals and in working with their case managers and/or treatment team to determine the steps needed to achieve these goals.
• Local travel to meet the members in their homes or in their communities for member visits may be required.   

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education

High School diploma or equivalency

Required Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of community resources
• Knowledge of the recovery process and the ability to facilitate recovery using established standardized behavioral health processes
• Ability and skill to teach and engage in basic problem-solving strategies to support individual members in their self-directed recovery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Typing and excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, and MS Outlook 
• Ability to multi-task between phone and various computer systems 
• Ability to talk with members on the phone or in person and translate accurate information into contact notes

Required License, Certification, Association

Valid State Driver's License with proof of insurance

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic records
• Managed Care exposure 
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality rules

Preferred License, Certification, Association

Current Unrestricted Peer Support Certification in the State of Residence
