Molina Healthcare is hiring for a bilingual (English/Spanish) In-Office Community Engagement Coordinator for our One Stop Help Center in Chula Vista, California

This is an In-Office position. It will require you to work from our Chula Vista office Mon-Fri 8:30am -5:30pm. 
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is needed.

You will work directly with members, perspective members, community partners, and the public who visit Molina’s storefront. This role will also lead the day-to-day operations of programs, meetings, community partner appointments, and presentations at the storefront and ensure that all those accessing the storefront have the best customer experience and can link to community services and resources.   
The Office Specialist will provide walk-in customers with information and materials about Molina Healthcare. Direct customers to the appropriate department(s). Ensure all Marketing and Health Educational Materials are available for display and distribution.

Highly Qualified Candidates Will:

  • Be bilingual, Spanish/English.
  • Have great customer service experience, both face to face and on the phone.
  • Have solid, steady work history.
  • Experience in the medical or healthcare field in some aspect. Insurance experience, community involvement, community resource experience highly desired.
  • Must live within a reasonable driving distance to the office in Chula Vista.

Job Duties

  • Answer questions for walk-in customers about Molina Healthcare.
  • Assist in directing customers to the appropriate department(s).
  • Answer incoming calls and provide information about Molina Healthcare.
  • Assist in navigating the Molina Healthcare website to identify a network provider.
  • Ensure adequate inventory level of Company materials, coordinate with Community Engagement team members for restocking.
  • Oversee the Kid’s Corner; ensure the area is clean, stocked with books and safe for children.
  • Ensure storefront opens and closes in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all material displays contain adequate supplies for the day.
  • Maintain a daily tracking log of visitors entering store, what information was requested, and how they were assisted.
  • Schedule and coordinate community partners and the services being offered at the site.
  • Assist with booking member appointments, meetings, and conference room access with internal and external parties.
  • Assist and support general administrative day-to-day duties.

Required Education: Equivalent, job-related experience or Bachelors Degree

Required Experience:

  • Min. 3 years of related experience (e.g., marketing, business development, community engagement, healthcare industry).
  • Demonstrated exceptional networking and negotiations skills.
  • Demonstrated strong public speaking and presentations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with little supervision.
  • Must be able to attend public events in outdoor venues in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to drive up to 3 hours to attend events.  Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Required License, Certification, Association:

  • Completion of Molina /DHS/MRMIB Marketing Certification Program/Covered CA Certified.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record and be able to drive within applicable state or locality with reliable transportation.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related discipline.

Preferred Experience:

  • Solid understanding of Health Care Markets, primarily Medicaid.
  • Previous healthcare marketing, enrollment and/or grassroots/community outreach experience a plus.
  • 5 years of outreach experience serving low-income populations.
  • 3 - 5 years project management experience, preferably in a health care or outreach setting.
  • Experience presenting to influencer and low-income audiences.   
  • Experience in sales or marketing techniques.
  • Fluency in a second language highly desirable.

  • Active Life & Health Insurance
  • Market Place Certified

Pay Range: $20.74 - $40.44 / HOURLY
