Director, Sales & Retention (In Field - Greater Metropolitan New York Area)

Leads and directs team responsible for Molina sales and retention activities. Oversees the strategic development and tactical delivery of member growth and retention initiatives. Leverages understanding of market trends and competitor intelligence, and collaborates with the community engagement and provider relations teams to develop appropriate proactive strategies and counter strategies to drive growth and market share. Ensures adherence to ethical sales practices, compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Duties
• Leverages knowledge of marketing practices, compliance, and associated products including Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Plan (CHIP), Medicare, and Marketplace plans to develop and implement member sales/growth and retention strategies.
• Achieves assigned retention, enrollment, and market share goals.
• Facilitates daily activity tracking, territory monitoring and overall productivity and quality of sales and retention staff delivery.
• Collaborates with senior leadership on the development of strategic and tactical initiatives to drive down disenrollment rates.
• Demonstrates high involvement/support in all retention activities.
• Collaborates with the community engagement, provider relations, and compliance teams to facilitate development of successful and compliant lead generation, territory development, expansion of all partnership organizations, enrollment, and retention processes.
• Analyzes and interprets disenrollment data.
• Utilizes, analyzes, and develops detailed reports to drive enrollment growth proactively.
• Interacts with applicable government agencies as required.
• Hires, trains, develops and manages team demonstrates accountability for team performance and achievement of department-specific goals.
• Approximately 75% travel required (based upon state/contractual/business needs).
Required Qualifications
• At least 8 years of experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Marketplace, and/or other health insurance-related sales, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• At least 3 years of management/leadership experience, including experience managing large teams in multiple locations.
• Ability to meet travel-related requirements.
• Demonstrated understanding of state managed care/compliance requirements.
• Experience working with a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
• Ability to develop incentive plans that are compliant with the state and motivate productivity.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and relationship building skills.
• Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
• Salesforce experience.

Pay Range: $97,299 - $227,679 / ANNUAL
