Job Summary
The Lead Business Analyst within the Provider Services team will provide analytic support forreporting, compliance, network management, financial reimbursement models, provider performance and various provider services initiatives. Additionally, the position is relied upon to apply business knowledge to Analytics projects and provide value-added insights to directly impact business outcomes, requiring development of analytical approaches, conclusions and effective communication to various targeted audiences. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, experience working with large data sets, ability to draw inferences, and a natural curiosity to identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. May participate in management reviews, including presenting and interpreting analysis results, summarizing conclusions, and recommending a course of action.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Act as primary Lead Analyst for business analyst team, assigned projects and proactively identify topics for analysis
• Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.
• Collaborates with teams to modify or tailor existing analysis or reports to meet their specific needs.
• Write and edit SQL scripts for data extraction
• Explain complex business analytics results to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate across the entire organization
• Develop analytical models, spreadsheets, documents and presentations that are well documented (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau)
• Analyze claims data forecasting, planning, assessing risk and developing strategic considerations
• Perform forecasting, planning, assessing risk to developing strategic considerations
Job Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
•7+ years of business analysis experience
•6+ years managed care experience.
•Demonstrates expertise in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to job-related subject areas.
Preferred Education
Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience
•7-9 years project manager experience
•Experience working with complex, often highly technical teams.
•Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
•Experience working with complex, often highly technical teams.
•Experience writing SQL queries.
Preferred License, Certification, Association
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification from International Institute of Business Analysis preferred
